About Us

University Towers (UT) is a privately owned residence hall serving the NC State community. UT is located near the corner of Hillsborough Street and Dan Allen Drive, and is convenient to classrooms, libraries, and activities.

Clayton Hayer, UT's General Manager, makes it his personal mission to provide the highest quality student housing available to NC State students. And what do the students think? Says Kristin Boulduc, former UT resident: "University Towers is one of the best places to live at NC State University!"

Our History
In 1986, a local investor collaborated with Allen & O'Hara Education Services, INC to visualize a "community" focused solely around the needs of NCSU college students. In 1987 and early 1988, the plans were finalized for the new facility, to be called University Towers. Allen & O'Hara broke ground in the summer of 1988. Exactly one year later, UT opened its doors to over 936 residents.

From the very beginning, Allen & O'Hara has been involved with the development of UT and, to this day, remains UT's management company. Solid management is one of the founding principles of UT; from Allen & O'Hara associates to our business office staff and team of RAs, we are committed to providing quality and value to our residents and their parents.
